6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Academic Music Program:

• Band

• Chorus

• Orchestra

Requirements: 

*Students must demonstrate adequate performance skills at grade level and a willingness to improve through practice at home.

7th & 8th Grade Foreign Language Program:

• Spanish - Two year commitment

*Students who successfully complete 7th and 8th grade Spanish with C's or above will have the opportunity to start at Spanish level 2 at the high school.  Students who enroll in Spanish will NOT take exploratory classes.

7th & 8th Grade Athletic Program:

• Girls Volleyball – September-October

• Cross Country – September-October

• Boys Basketball – October –December

• Girls Basketball – January-February

• Cheerleading – September-January

• Poms – October-December

• Wrestling – January-February

• Track – April-May

Requirements:

*Prior to the first practice, athletes must have an Athletic Emergency Card and a signed Athletic Policy/Parent Consent Form on file.

*Prior to participation in any games or meets, all athletes must have a current physical examination (within one year) and pay the current athletic fee.

**Students participating in athletics must meet academic eligibility standards established by the Athletic Board.

6th, 7th, & 8th Grade Intramural Sports

All interested students (boys and girls) can participate in intramural sports.  There are no tryouts.  There are several intramural sports offered:

• Volleyball – September

• Touch Football – September-October

• Boys Basketball – January

• Girls Basketball – February

• Wrestling – January

• Pom Pons – January-February

• Cheerleading  (6^th Grade) - February

Requirements: 

*Signed permission slip; no district athletic fees.

**Students participating in intramural athletics must meet academic eligibility standards established by the Athletic Board.
